Forza Horizon 6 arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam on May 19, 2026 — with PS5 support coming later in the year. Premium Edition players get four days of early access starting May 15. Here's everything you need to know about every edition and add-on available at launch.
Release Dates
The release date depends on which edition you buy:
- May 15, 2026 — Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade (4-day early access)
- May 19, 2026 — Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, Game Pass
Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers can play on Xbox Series X|S (Ultimate only), PC via the Xbox app, or Xbox Cloud Gaming at no additional cost from May 19. Purchasing the Premium Upgrade gives Game Pass subscribers early access from May 15.
Pre-Order Bonus — Ferrari J50
Pre-order any edition of the game — or the Premium Upgrade — before launch and you'll receive the Ferrari J50 as an exclusive pre-tuned car. The pre-order bonus does not apply to the Expansions Bundle.
Standard Edition
The base game: 550+ cars to collect and customise, collectible vanity items, and player houses. Nothing else is included, but all additional content is available as a separate add-on purchase.
- Full game (550+ cars, vanity items, player houses)
- Ferrari J50 pre-order bonus (if pre-ordered)
- Release date: May 19, 2026
Deluxe Edition
Adds the Car Pass and Welcome Pack on top of the base game.
- Full game
- Car Pass — 30 extra cars delivered post-launch
- Welcome Pack — 5 pre-tuned cars, 1 Car Voucher (from Autoshow cars), a free Player House, and 3 tickets for Common or Rare clothing items
- Ferrari J50 pre-order bonus (if pre-ordered)
- Release date: May 19, 2026
Premium Edition
The most complete single purchase at launch. Includes the full game plus all of the following:
- Full game
- 4-day early access — play from May 15
- VIP Membership — 3 Exclusive Forza Edition Cars, Crown Flair, Emote, Car Horn, free Tokyo City Player House, 2x CR rewards, and weekly Super Wheelspins
- Welcome Pack — 5 pre-tuned cars, 1 Car Voucher, free Player House, 3 clothing tickets
- Car Pass — 30 extra cars
- Italian Passion Car Pack — 4 extra cars
- Time Attack Car Pack — 8 extra cars
- Expansion 1 — new location, extra cars, new gameplay
- Expansion 2 — new location, extra cars, new gameplay
- Ferrari J50 pre-order bonus (if pre-ordered)
Premium Upgrade
Already own the Standard or Deluxe Edition — or have it through Game Pass? The Premium Upgrade adds all the extra content without repurchasing the base game. It also unlocks early access from May 15.
- 4-day early access — play from May 15
- VIP Membership
- Welcome Pack
- Car Pass — 30 extra cars
- Italian Passion Car Pack — 4 extra cars
- Time Attack Car Pack — 8 extra cars
- Expansion 1
- Expansion 2
- Ferrari J50 pre-order bonus (if pre-ordered before launch)
- Does not include the base game
This is the recommended route for Game Pass subscribers who want the full experience — buy the Premium Upgrade and you'll have everything the Premium Edition includes, at a lower total cost.
Expansions Bundle
A standalone purchase covering both story expansions only — no base game, no car packs, no VIP. Designed for players who already own the base game and just want the expansions without the other extras.
- Expansion 1 — new location, extra cars, new gameplay
- Expansion 2 — new location, extra cars, new gameplay
- Does not include the base game, VIP, Car Pass, or car packs
- No pre-order bonus
Premium Add-Ons Bundle
Upgrades Standard or Deluxe Edition with all the extra content included in the Premium Edition — minus the two expansions. The middle-ground option if you want VIP, car packs, and the Welcome Pack but are not interested in the expansion content.
- VIP Membership
- Welcome Pack
- Car Pass — 30 extra cars
- Italian Passion Car Pack — 4 extra cars
- Time Attack Car Pack — 8 extra cars
- Does not include the base game or expansions
Important: Any additional content including (but not limited to) Car Packs is not included in the Deluxe or Premium Editions or in the Premium Upgrade. Cars featured in any other DLC Car Packs are not included with the VIP Membership or Car Pass.
Which Edition Should You Buy?
If you're buying outright: the Premium Edition is the best value for players who plan to spend serious time with FH6. Two full expansions, VIP perks, 42 extra cars across the car packs and Car Pass, and four days early access make the premium price easy to justify.
If you're on Game Pass: start with Game Pass and buy the Premium Upgrade. You get everything in the Premium Edition at a lower combined cost than buying Premium outright.
If you just want the expansions: the Expansions Bundle is the most direct route, but only makes sense if you already own the base game and have no interest in VIP or car packs.
Forza Horizon 6 is also coming to PS5 later in 2026. PlayStation pricing and edition details have not yet been announced.
